Welcome to an unofficial fansite dedicated to Industrial Revelations. Two 10-part series were made with the original host Mark Williams from the Fast Show, and Rory McGrath recently made another.
Series 1: Industrial Revelations looks into what started the industrial boom.
Series 2: More Industrial Revelations continues to explore how industry developed and matured, and how Britain used its industrial muscle to build its export empire.

Excellent series on all counts. I’ve watched the “rails” series and most of “Industrial Revelations” and both are very well worth watching. Mark Williams makes a presentation in such a manner as to give the viewer confidence that he indeed knows what he’s talking about. I like his timely comedic insert from time to time.

I LOVE this series – and the “On The Rails” one. You, “UKer”s are so lucky to have so much of this old stuff still around – and much of it still in working order.
It would be great to have a list (or map) of the various places the series visited listed – so I could check them out in person!

I saw the “On the Rails” show some time ago over on this side of the pond (US) and loved it! Does anyone know how to get a US dvd of this and the “Industrial Revelations”?

It’s just a work of genius. Makes you want more. Saw it again this morning and am glad to leave a note here. Necessity certainly is the mother of invention but the ‘slavery’ aspect is hard to swallow. I’ll just never be able to understand how amassing your fortune gives you leave to treat people (in the main) like muck….but, of course, “Where there’s muck…”. G.
